It seems the FFL is seeking to keep up its righteous streak of statements...
OF RUDE AWAKENINGS AND LATE REALIZATIONS: A STUDY IN CONTRASTS AND CONTRADICTIONSAt this point in the conflict, some of those who have sided with the Council are making statements that the Restoration Movement (CFC-FFL) and the present CFC are the same. They are purporting that the intent and direction that the Council’s leadership has taken is everything that the CFC-FFL claims itself to be. The subtle message is these people (CFC-FFL) just want to be in power and they are peddling you something that is already in existence.
It goes without saying that very recently, the Council has made almost a complete 180 degree turn in practices which it never paid attention to from the time its attention was called after the Feb. 20 resignations. Now, it has come out openly for being diocesan and parish-based, of following the Bishops, of abandoning questionable practices of GK which were overtly not Christian, of following a balance between family life and service, of suddenly being behind the pro-life program of the Church although it has not rescinded its agreements with GK donors which manufacture artificial contraceptives. Why the sudden rude awakenings and late realizations?
It is an interesting exercise to unmask the hidden agenda of individuals. All you have to do is to answer questions straightforwardly and base your reply from actual data or experience. One must remember therefore the status of the community prior to the resignations of the three Council members on February 13, 2007 until the here-and-now.
What are some of the important qualities of the CFC-FFL they claim are the same with how they want to direct the community?
In this Truth Series, these qualities are presented in five parts.
I. “FAMILIES IN THE HOLY SPIRIT RENEWING THE FACE OF THE EARTH”
The feedback from the ground has been that the community has reached a saturation point in its activities that already prevent people from having quality time with their families and doing other things that are likewise important to establishing relationships in community.
Evidence: Dwindling attendance in gatherings and poor tithing; complaints from members on the lack of spiritual nourishment; lackluster worship; unprecedented leadership conflicts.
Practice: Functional relationships in households, service agenda are taken up instead of growth topics; weekdays and weekends are fully blocked off for community activities; leaders are maximized through multi-tasking.Attitude of top leaders: drop-all-you-are-doing-we-have-something-important-to-do
At the beginning of this year, Frank Padilla announced a one-service policy to put a balance to an already worsening appropriation of time and resources in community. When Frank and the two other Council members resigned, the remaining 4-man Council never followed through with the initiative. Instead the 4-man Council in the persons of Joe Tale, Ernie Maipid, Rouquel Ponte and Joe Yamamoto decided to change the line functions of the top leadership perpetuating the multi-task orientation that precisely the community was diverting from, with themselves at the helm.
This same leadership now claims that they are the same as CFC-FFL in that vision when from the very start they never advocated or promoted such a direction.
II. PRO-GOD
Both groups have actually been quoting scripture and praying to the high heavens for peace and love in community. The Council has been proclaiming a new spirituality known as the GK spirituality, evidence of which could be seen from the revised Chapter Leaders Training where Ernie Maipid amended the outlines to include this particular orientation. If GK owns such a spirituality, then the GK Conference last June 21, 2007 at Araneta is a good example of what it advocates. People noticed an absence of worship and overt prayer. There was a song of St. Francis which very few recognized and an ecumenical prayer which the community members could not relate with. Yet, it was in community where we learned to at least make the sign of the cross (a prayer should follow) in a restaurant no matter how others may see us. Some of the brethren have also put crosses over their necks, pins on their collars, and even tattoos on their bodies to show that they are Catholic and CFC wherever they go, office, social, or community functions.
Evidence: The pronouncements of the Council regarding the GK spirituality; the changes made in the pastoral formation manuals; documented evidences of taking out CFC stickers from the doorposts of GK beneficiaries who are CFC members; the prohibiting the wearing of CFC T-Shirts, pins, etc. in GK assemblies, etc.
Practice: Do not show that you are overtly Christian or Catholic in the spirit of “ecumenism.”
Attitude of leaders: Evangelization need not have Christ shown in public.
Our basic teaching specifies that our posture should always be to respect the beliefs of others. However, the practice and principle have always been never to deny who we are. Restoration (CFC-FFL) means emphasizing this orientation and not compromising our identity like the way the Council has allowed things to happen. In this instance, it was even Habitat for Humanity which came out in the papers openly proclaiming that it is a Christian organization while CFC/GK has been quite coy about unfurling proudly its Christian banner.
III. PRO-CHURCH.
Although it has been an ongoing process of misinformation that the Easter Group, now part of CFC-FFL, solicited the help of the bishops, the Council insists in this idea that the bishops did not act on their own accord but were persuaded to issue letters against the CFC leadership. However, granting that their allegation is true (which it is not), it has always been taught in community that when you have an issue with your household head and you are unable to settle it amicably, then you appeal to the next higher rank – the unit head. In that same token, if it is the Council you have a disagreement with and they tend to use their power and position to further their agenda, then whom do you go to, the Elders Assembly? Yes, but it is difficult to assemble 200 people much less discuss issues with them. The recourse is the bishops, of course, who in our statutes safeguard our spirituality.
Evidence: The Council and the Elders Assembly did not follow the strong recommendation of Bishop Gabby Reyes, Bishop Soc Villegas, and Archbishop Angel Lagdameo stated in their letter dated June 7, 2007. Again, both bodies did not heed the strong admonition of Bishop Reyes on June 21, 2007 (“not to take the Bishops’ strong recommendations lightly.”) The intent and letters of Bishop Gabby have been twisted out of context several times which drew the rebuke of the Spiritual Adviser of CFC (his letters dated July 12 and August 6, 2007).
Practice: Whenever it is convenient, the Council visits the bishops but never follows their instructions. They concur during their meetings with the prelates but never keep their part of the agreement. The Bishops had to issue 3 clarifications to 3 International Council statements correcting the Council’s misimpressions of some statements coming from the Bishops. The Council was virtually handed a canonical warning when the Bishops hinted they were almost prompted to write the Vatican about the reported and documented cases of GK veering away fro the life and mission of CFC.
Attitude of leaders: The bishops have no authority over the internal affairs of the community and so should not interfere.
The Restoration Movement (CFC-FFL) has always consulted and followed the directions of the bishops. It has submitted to supporting the Church particularly its programs in the Basic Ecclesial Communities (BEC). Frank Padilla continues to be the recognized leader of Couples for Christ and the keeper of the charism. In fact, he went to the Vatican to explain the crisis in the community.
By its actions alone, the Council sets a very poor claim on being Pro-Church.
IV. PRO-POOR
If building houses was the only criterion for being Pro-Poor, the Council in its desire to support the GK spirituality may have the edge. However, what was the real context of Pro-Poor in the statutes of CFC? Was it really to provide shelter and livelihood for the materially poor? Or, was it to build Christian communities that will support the life and mission of people who will help themselves out of their poverty because they see themselves as a people of value and worth through their relationship with Jesus Christ?
Evidence: Can any of the GK workers confidently identify GK areas that are truly small Christian communities? Beneficiaries join the CLPs only to leave the organization as soon as they receive their houses. Even if GK identifies itself to be holistic in approach, what does it really have to show by way of a visible comprehensive health program, a working livelihood and job generation activity in GK communities except the Bayanihan program recently lifted from the Tekton livelihood program. Why did GK build up parallel structures when it was supposed to synergize and integrate with the social ministries which were deliberately set up to support GK?
Practice: The pursuit of building houses is given priority over the establishment of authentic Christian communities.
Attitude of leaders: Owning a house changes the attitude and outlook of a GK beneficiary.
The CFC-FFL intends to focus on the framework of establishing Christian communities rather than providing shelter. It will back up the spiritual side with programs that will address the temporal concerns of the people in due course. The focus on the social mission will not be imposed with quotas the way GK did.
V. OTHER ASPECTS
Pro-Life: In its desire to achieve its goals in GK777, the Council through GK has accepted benefactors who are clearly pro-choice advocates in the arena of contraception, abortion, population control, and environmentally hazardous industries. Which group has actually bent its mission and core values by acceding to pro-choice forces in order to achieve the goals they have set? Who among its leaders are clear of their pro-life principles and values and why are they sending the GK Executive Director to the conference of the Clinton Foundation, a known advocate of pro-choice and has Masonic inclinations?
Tradition: Which group adheres to tradition as a form of legalism much like the Pharisees and the Scribes? Which advocates radical changes in spirituality without consulting its constituents? Which is saying that it is adhering to its charismatic spirituality and not some mountain-generated forces that border on a different kind of idolatry? Which among its leaders are adhering to Catholic doctrine by submitting to the doctors of the Church all its teachings and programs?
Leadership: Who among the groups’ leaders rose to their present position with so many doubts cast on the process and their reputations tainted? Which group still has the “bearer of the charism” as part of the organization though he may not be in governance anymore? Which leaders are demanding obedience? Which are advocating consultation and unity of spirit? Which group trusted in a win-win agreement to be able to obey the Bishops? And which one defied the strong admonitions of the Bishops? Which group in the then Board of Elders insisted on having running dialogues with the Council and GK leaders to arrest the worsening rift between CFC and GK and which group preferred to table the issue? Which group brokered the failed August 14 dialogue?
If your are unable to distinguish the two groups by these questions, then the lessons of Lamentations and the experiences of the on-going conflict in the community may not have not yet impacted upon you.
However, it is your responsibility as Christian to know, and to make an informed choice. It is also important to know yourself, on what you believe, and what you tend to be biased on. At the end of the day, it is not which group you choose but the process by which you arrived at that choice. For all you know, you are making a mistake. No discernment is a perfect discernment. But God will always bless a choice made for Him, a choice that in honesty sees what is best for oneself, and for those whom one will serve.
Now, IF the FFL is intent on keeping up the slew of accusations, comparisons, and tit-for-tat attacks, then it is really up to their conscience on whether they want to build a membership based on that. Remember that a structure is only as solid as its foundation.
Let me quote their own Statement of Philosophy:
CFC-FFL adheres to a set of beliefs and ideals from which flow its Christian attitudes, values and behavior, as well as its programs, teachings and approaches to Christian renewal within the context of family relationships.Highlights mine.
So, tell me this: What do they hope to accomplish by these constant accusations at the CfC? It seems they are paying more attention to what the Council is doing than on what should be most important to them: Hmm...like evangelizing? Unless of course, the downfall of CfC IS what is important to them. That is a scary thought....isn't it?
Then again, if this is their idea of evangelizing, I'd be afraid to see their version of GK. =)
I quote this sentence...
At this point in the conflict, some of those who have sided with the Council are making statements that the Restoration Movement (CFC-FFL) and the present CFC are the same....and I wonder who they are referring to as "some of those" and "making statements". Could it be that the FFL is now frantically responding to rumors and innuendos, while we here in the blog are citing actual emails and documents?
All I've seen so far from the FFL is a looooong string of accusatory statements, emails, plots, twisted stories, and efforts to bring down a community that Frank once led with pride. Not once did I see the IC issue as much as an accusation towards the FFL. Wasn't that what the Bishops' wanted? Peace between brothers? Who is disobeying them now?
To brother Frank, I ask, is this really how you want trace the FFL's roots? After all, all this will be for the greater glory of YOUR name, I assume?
As it is, I'm done responding to these constant statements rehashing the same old issues that have been addressed over and over again. The answers to them are all in this blog, anyone with a mouse, keyboard, and an internet connection can find the truth in the archives IF they want to find it. AND, I am still waiting for the FFL's official statements on the issues we've brought up here.
I won't hold my breath though....
UPDATE:
Oh and one last thing, about this:
"The Council has been proclaiming a new spirituality known as the GK spirituality"
What exactly is a "GK spirituality"? Is that another term coined by the FFL that is meant to be misleading?

Hinay hinay mga kapatid. I know it's infuriating, but it maybe that, that is their goal, to taunt us into unchristian behavior. Don't allow it to happen.

Esti, I received it via email.
c.d.,
I am in our cfc center now. Dito di na namin pinapansin c Frank. Talagang wala na siyang magawa.
If frank is brave, he must come here in Davao.
Frank, I am praying for you.Be christian naman.
Dear CFC Brethren,
Whoever wrote this latest piece from FFL is clearly sending a strong signal that their group does NOT want to move forward. If they (FFL) have left the original CFC, why do they keep on attacking and accusing the flock they have already left behind? If they (FFL) are HOLY, is this the way to treat your brethren who are sinners?
Again, if they (FFL) profess to be PRO-LIFE, can they run a survey among their couple members and show to us in the original CFC that NO one among their members have used contraceptives or are using any form of contraception?
God bless us all!!!
i'll save my comments for later... bukas na lang tutal wala namang pasok...
need to take care of the household tonite ... mas importante ito!
Peace!!!!
"keeper of the charism"... remember that phrase - a new addition to FP's illustrious and eminent titles.
I remember one of FP's email saying that in church's speak, the keeper of the charism is recognized as the founder of the group. Kaya pala siya naging "founder" ng CFC; because he is the "keeper" of the charism. Dami talagang spins. Galing talaga mag-develop ng brand. Regretfully tho, the gift is no longer being used for the glory of God.
BTW, I'm happy because delisted na ko sa email list ng Eastergroup/FFL. If you want to get listed (to spare you from BP fluctuations), you have to demand it from them many, many times; then disclose to their moderator what CFC group you belong (MCG of what sector, or FTW etc, or attendee in a restoration assemply). Otherwise, mark it as "spam". Anyway, mabilis naman ang mga cfcdefenders in posting what I might miss from them. May kasama na'ng rebuttal. O di, ba mas safe for the heart?
God bless ya'll.
Trying to be positively Christian, there is one good thing about this statement. Did any of you notice? They did not refer to us as CFC-GK. Hmmmm?
Hi! First of all congrats sa blog na ito, kasi open for everyone. I hope you can keep a non-bias atmosphere. I've been in CFC for 17 years now, right now I'm still discerning as to where God wants me to go (CFC-GK or CFC-FFL).
Just a comment about the "Dwindling attendance........". Even before the birth of GK, I already noticed attendance have already started to dwindle, I think because of the RAPID and MASSIVE evangelization, a lot of our members were not trained enough or empowered enough to become HH but because of lack of servants eventually they did. SOme of them rose to the challenge but some did not. Kaya dala nila pati 'yung members nila. Totoo maraming new members nakukuha sa CLP at that time pero marami ring nanlalamig na dati nang members.
Isa pa 'yung napaka-daming activities ng CFC not only GK but also from the other pillars, sa YFC, KFC, Pro-Life, etc... On top of this we still have to take of our own family, and our jobs (hindi naman kami full-time sa CFC tulad ng iba diyan).
Pasensiya na kayo, I love our CFC community pero na-turn off ako at the way our elders handled these problems. Sana nag-concentrate sila sa problema hindi sa mga persons involved. I wish they were open-minded and humble enough to share it with the rest of the community noong hindi pa malaki yung problema. Maybe hindi sana umabot sa ganito. Pero nandiyan na iyan we just have to live with it and let God do the rest.
As for me, I'm still waiting for God's plan for me. Maybe sa ibang community ko na ulit makikita yung joy in serving the Lord.
watch out for more misleading words they have coined. The very first time i heard the word CFCGK was after the first restoration assembly from the first FFL recruits. Then Gk Spirituality...

Hi! First of all..............
Where have you been kapatid? Parang ikaw na lang yata ang nagdidiscern? If you love CFC then there is nothing to discern. Wake up kapatid! I think ang calendar mo is still February 20.
CD,
Brod, why do you only post comments that are pro-CFC? Don't you want this to be open for all for discussions? How do I know? For one, I don't see my comments. They might not agree with yours but they're not hateful. Please put a memo saying this is only for CFC and not for FFL, so you're friends will know that you're only discussing among yourselves... among mutual friends :).
I challenge you to make this open for all comments and not need your approval. What? They might be too hateful? Haven't you read the messages here? Even you can't even take some of your friends' messages right?
di na ako nagulat sa letter na to!mga kapatid lets all guard our attitudes towards this and also our emotion.right move CD na hindi mo na muna pinost ang ibang comments!
HAPPY EID - FATIR!
(just wnna greet our muslim brothers, hope it would not be an issue again to others)
PRO-REKLAMO!
Whew! I've never thought I'll get so weary reading the relentless attacks of the FFL.
Please FFL brothers, move on you've decided already the path to follow... MORE OF THE SAME - FAP!
Forgive me CD if I'll take a break from peeking into your blog for awhile... he he just kidding!

BEEN THINKING ABOUT: THE URGE TO JUMP
In April 2006, a man attempted to jump from the top of the Empire State Building.
At the last minute, security guards physically restrained him and New York City police charged him with first-degree reckless endangerment. A judge later dismissed the charges, noting that the man had taken steps to ensure the safety of others.
The man’s name is Jeb Corliss. His extreme sport of choice is jumping from the world’s tallest structures with a parachute strapped to his back. Prior to his Empire State attempt he had made 3,000 successful jumps, including leaps from the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, the Eiffel Tower, and the Golden Gate Bridge.
A More Dangerous Leap
As dangerous as Jeb’s extreme sport might sound, it’s not nearly as risky as something we all do when we jump to wrong conclusions about important issues.
The Bible gives us a classic example of such a leap. It happened in about 1400 BC and carries the importance of one of those “first events” that sets a precedent and tone of caution for the days that follow.
The 7-year conquest of Canaan was coming to an end. Soldiers of families that had settled on the east side of the Jordan River had gone home to be reunited with their families (Joshua 22).
Just as peace was coming to Israel, someone in the west heard that east-side families had built a huge altar. Because the law of Moses did not allow unauthorized places of sacrifice, word spread quickly that “the east side” was sliding back into idolatry. Rumors spread and tempers flared about a brash event that seemed to be risking the security of the whole family.
Just a few years earlier, when some of the people of Israel became entangled in the worship of foreign gods, God sent a plague that killed 24,000 (Numbers 25:9).
And later, the unfaithful actions of a man by the name of Achan caused God’s anger to fall on the whole nation (Joshua 7).
With such national crises fresh in their minds, the families of the west moved quickly. The record of Joshua tells us, “When the children of Israel heard of it, the whole congregation of the children of Israel gathered together at Shiloh to go to war against them” (Joshua 22:12).
Shiloh means “place of rest.” But those gathered there were ready to wage a civil war to defend their national honor and security.
Words of Wisdom
Before the rush to judgment was complete, however, wisdom prevailed. At Sinai, their ancestors had agreed to a law that told them what to do in just such an occasion. If a community in Israel turned away to worship other gods, they were to “inquire, search out, and ask diligently. And if it is indeed true and certain that such an abomination was committed among you, you shall surely strike the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying it, all that is in it and its livestock—with the edge of the sword” (Deuteronomy 13:14-15).
In keeping with these
instructions, the people of the west formed a delegation of family leaders to do some fact finding. They asked a man who had earned their respect in an earlier crisis to lead the group (Numbers 25:1-10; Joshua 22:13-14).
Unexpected Answers
When the delegation reached their brothers in the east, they were ready for the worst. They accused the eastern tribes of ignoring the past and endangering the future of the whole nation.
Then came the surprise. After listening to the accusations, spokespersons for the east assured the delegation that they did not intend to sacrifice at this altar. Because the Jordan River divided them from the rest of the family, they built the altar as a national unity memorial (Joshua 22:24-27).
They wanted future generations to remember their relationship to the whole nation and God of Israel.
When the investigative council returned home, all Israel celebrated the outcome. The altar was not what they thought it was. It was, in the words of their brothers, “a witness between us that the Lord is God” (v.34).
If the urge to jump to a wrong conclusion had been acted on, many would have died. A family would have gone to war with itself. The Lord’s name would have been dishonored in the region.
Jumping off the Empire State building might seem reckless and dangerous, even with a parachute. But nothing is more dangerous for ourselves and others than jumping too quickly to conclusions that can lead to lost reputations, family division, and even war.
What the children of Israel learned, we must now see for ourselves. There are so many ways to jump to false conclusions.
Hearing only one side of a conflict (Proverbs 18:17), assuming guilt by association (Luke 7:34), and repeating harmful unconfirmed information as if it is fact (Joshua 22:11) are only a few of the leaps that harm ourselves and others.
Let’s remind one another that if a rumor is important enough to cause concern, it is important enough to confirm.
Father in heaven, we are so inclined to think the worst about others. We have a history of acting on impulse and partial stories. We want to change for Your sake and for one another. Please help us to learn the ways of wisdom and peace. Help us to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry. –Mart De Haan
Hi CD,
First and foremost, Congratulations! Congratulations for creating this blogsite, a very informative one.
You are also a good moderator Though you have not posted comments such as from agent008 and jiggs, but you apologize to them & encourage them to post again their comments (after taking their BP med, hehehe). What a nice gesture! Continue this good practice, filtering our comments which, sometimes, are beyond our christian values.

“FAMILIES IN THE HOLY SPIRIT RENEWING THE FACE OF THE EARTH”
Dwindling down of attendance in the general membership is there rom the very start of our community. Maybe one of the factors, but not very reason alone. Let us not bring the past back anymore! Bringing it back, means we have to ask the answer from those who have been part of the community for a very long time ago.
Multi-tasking is a result of those part of the body that did not function for a given task. Maawa naman tayo doon sa mga tao na nagbuwis ng buhay for the sake of CFC's charism, let us not put their sacrifice into waste! Lahat tayo may kasalanan at guilty sa aspect na yan. Remember He only instructs us to plant and take care of the seeds of faith in every heart of CLP/YC, it is through His grace these seeds woould grow. It is the passion and of every member to discover their place in this community.
PRO-GOD
Jesus shows us the real essence of true servanthood. If we would act in ways of the doctrines of the Catholic church, we would drive those people in other faith out of our desire for unity with them. Let us always remember that being a CHRISTIAN is being a person for others. Not worshipping or not making the sign of the cross is denying our being a Catholic. Outward sign and symbols matters if it is done from the very bootom of our hearts.
PRO-CHURCH
In seeking or soliciting advises from others is asking them of their suggestion and perception of the situation you are in. The advisers are there for us togive us guidance on how we will treat every situation, but in the end we as those who are in the situation would still be the one who will decide for the things that is fiiting and we should be prepared for the consequences of our action (take resposibilty). As one of our beloved bishop has said " I should not be hurt when they did not follow my recommendation for it was only a recommendation (though strong) is a recommendation. This issue has been resolved more than a month ago! Again, Let us not bring the past back anymore.
PRO-POOR
Uplifting the poor, giving them decent homes and livelihood is one of the important aspects of a Christian community. Maybe there are several mishaps in GK, but this is now being addressed. Inviting them in CLPs/YCs is what we can only do, if in the end after awarding their house they will stop attending their respective household is beyond our control, but for as long as the benefeciaries adheres to the policy of the KB we can count on that. (Please present evidences and statistics of these allegation)
OTHER ASPECTS
My apologies for this provoking comments.
How many times does this crisis happen in our beloved community? These things exist and will continue to exist for as long as we are human. We have a fallen nature, we are bound to sin again and again even if we are part of a renewal community. What is important is that we humbly admit, repent and turn away from them. The so called "loyalty checks" was just to confirm the actions that those peole in the fold of FFL, in CFC then, of where they will stand. From the very start of the crisis the IC together with the other leaders are geared to moving forward, and this cannot go with those people still undecided whether they would stay or go. It may appeared to be unchristian for those who felt that they were ask of their loyalty because of their obvious actuation towards the situation then. And for the failed Aug. 14 dialogue, was it supposed to work only one way, with the present IC on hte one's sacrficing. It should have not been a dialogue but rather a monologue. Who is the one who went around the provinces inviting every CFC members to assemble so that he can poach members from the CFC roster? Who did not wait 14 days later for the bishops to decide on the matter? Who brought confusion and rift and disunity? I rest...
But before that let me leave this two literary pieces for us both in FFL and CFC to reflect on.
Desiderata
Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs;
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.
And the other one.
Don't Quit
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up, though the pace seems slow -
You might succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor's cup.
And he learned too late, when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out -
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt -
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit -
It's when things seem worst that you mustn't quit.

For all the CFC and former CFC now FFL and for all of us to think and reflect on.
YFC Palawan
Cd,
I wonder how a GK area purely initiated by FFL would ever get off the ground.
Let me define what I mean by "purely initiated", by FFL.
I mean:
1. one area where there is no GK presence, meaning everything is starting from zero.
2. one area that is not an existing GK area where they try to put back the 'ex CFC' Project Director or Chapter Head who left CFC in favor of FFL.
Potential problems for them:
1. their "overtly Catholic" stance will not sit well with the Moslems, INC, Dating Daan, Protestants, etc living in the area where they will propose to do their own version of ‘work with the poor’. And due to this ‘overtly Catholic’ stance, I supposed they will have a Rosary Prayer every First Friday or is it Wednesday in the work with the poor area with Sister Mimi David as Head of Event, even before they break ground on the first house.
2. because of item # 1, they will have a hard time getting the cooperation of the residents, because right off, the action will be divisive, discriminatory, separatist, etc., such that even the Catholics in the area may be scared to join their kind of GK because of fear of reprisal from their neighbors.
3. For funding and logistics, this too could be a problem area. The TV exposure of Nonong Contreras, wherein he made allegations of fund mishandling at GK areas were not substantiated, and that drew negative reactions from many business institutions supporting the Gawad Kalinga of Couples for Christ. I wonder if Ayala Corporation, Globe Telecom, and Bank of the Phil. Islands, could be enthusiastic in supporting a ‘GK’ of FFL. But then I could be wrong, there is always the source of unlimited resources in the member of the Frank Padilla HH, aspirant for the Presidency of the Philippines, Manny Villar!
4. Who could be their counter part for the present GK leaders of Couples for Christ? Executive manager types in their current line-up would not go near a Baseco, Payatas, etc., save of course for the photo op in a painting of a house, a scripted basketball game with the residents or a visit to a small sari-sari store. So name me one in their team who is willing to get their ‘hands dirty’ working in the GK? [But they could always instruct Bro. Narcing Eguia perhaps to do it, and knowing the dedication of Bro. Narcing, I think he will do it! The other option of course is to tap, Sister Malyn Alonso and retire her from her many ‘sharing time at restoration talks’ and this time they will ensure that there will never be a day when Malyn is in their work with poor site without an FFL ID, or any items where the Trumpet Logo could be prominently displayed! And oh yes, let’s not forget Bro Rene Evidente, and his FFL stickers that will be prominently displayed in all visible jalousies, windows and doors of their FFL houses.]
Tama na muna ito, baka hindi mo i-post ito.
"Keeper of the Charism"
Please don't be bothered by that fellow CFC members.
Frank does not intend for us to be so concern about that description he attributes to himself.
He addresses that to the leaders around him in the FFL Playboy / Bunnies Team, subtly telling them of who has the real say, control, power over the newly minted FFL!
Maybe a subtle message to the Bishops, too?
For those who were disappointed from RestoreCFC's decision to block all comments, you can pour your hearts out here:

This is Frank Padilla's personal blog.
But ... cool lang kayo, okay?
“FFL’s questions on Leadership, which they suggest should be what we should ask ourselves before making decisions on whether it will be FFL or CFC we will join.:
Question of FFL. “Who among the groups’ leaders rose to their present position with so many doubts cast on the process and their reputations tainted?”
Answer: It is the group of leaders who are presently aligned with Frank in FFL. Maybe you could identify them, as described hereunder:
1. One of leader of FFL has a ‘tainted reputation’ with the charge of improper relationship with a co-worker sister at the CFC Office as reported by their own sister in the August 28 talks with the Bishops and in a meeting in a city in USA.
2. A leader of FFL intentionally deviated a letter of Bishop Soc Villegas and took liberty to comment on it, even if he was not the real intended recipient of such letter.
3. A sister in FFL who intentionally mis-distributed the letter of Bishop Soc Villegas to her friends in FFL.
4. A sister in FFL who approved allocation of funds to support TV advertisement of then senatorial candidate Manny Villar, even w/o explicit approval of the then CFC Council.
5. A leader of FFL who received a check from a GK partner but delayed payment to intended recipients.
6. Last but not the least, all of the attendees of the June 07, 2007 meeting at the house of Bro Nonong Contreras where the (in) famous moniker “Easter/Playboy Bunnies” plotted a “walk-out” of the June 22, 2007 Election night of the Elders Assembly, who are all tainted, because of that plot.
Coming soon, replies to their other questions!
In this "Rude Awakening...." article of FFL , there is this statement on which I would like to make a comment:
"It is an interesting exercise to unmask the hidden agenda of individuals"
1. The first "unmasking of hidden agenda" by CFC of FFL plots/subject includes their secret meetings with Bishops. One of the three favorite bishops of FFL told our CFC Council Members, "Na-unahan na kayo ng dalawang babae sa pagpunta dito", later on the Bishop identified that the two sisters were Gerry Padilla and Maribel Descallar.
2. As a result of those secret visits to the Bishops, the letter recommendation to Cardinal Rosales was drafted, but its conveyance to rightful addressees was rerouted, and therefore that part of the drama was unmasked.
3. The June 07 2007 meeting of the Easter Playboy Bunnies where detailed steps of a plot to disrupt the Election, in order to put back Brother Frank Padilla, via a letter instruction from the Bishops to the CFC membership was unmasked.
4. On August 14, 2007 when Bro Frank and his group had a dialogue with the Council and Tony Meloto, Frank was asked why he did not want to sacrifice and refrain from further disturbing the governance of the duly elected 7 man Council, he purportedly replied: " I cannot turn my back [or perhaps renege] on my commitment to my group". Committed talaga si Bro Frank.
So I agree it is an interesting exercise to "unmask the hidden agenda" of the FFL leaders.
The exposure of the The Easter / Playboy & Bunnies Minutes of the Meeting, recorded by Mimi David, on June 07 2007 [15 days before June 22 2007 Election day], is the biggest un-masking of hidden agenda not only of an individual but a group of individuals, all of whom now ARE THE LEADERS OF THE NEW & UNTRIED Renewal Community, called Foundation for Family and Life!
An aside: The one who gave the copy of the supposed secret, confidential, minutes of said meeting is NOW A HIGH RANKING ELDER in FFL! So ingat sila, baka marami ring un-masking silang gagawin!
Gusto ba ninyong malaman kung sinong ito bro/sis na ito?
I think in time Sister Gerry will mention it.
PS. To unmask means to remove a false covering on a face. It is a better word than uncovering
I have kept my silence for some time now pero nakakainis na talaga sila. Para naman silang Dating Daan at Iglesia. Buti pa si Soriano may sense ang logic niya.
I believe they have ran out of arguments and have to contend on writing things that they imagine to be.
I guess the best thing that the IC should do is to make a final close on the use of the group Frank of the name CFC. As such, it will become clear to those who were mislead that they are not anymore part of CFC but but rather have moved to FFL (Fraud, Falsehood & Lies)
to anonymous who question why CD did not post his comment....
CD,
Brod, why do you only post comments that are pro-CFC? - KAPATID DI MO BA NABABASA ANG MGA POST NG FFL DITO?I BELIEVE THE REASON WHY CD IS NOT POSTING ALL COMMENTS IS TO AVOID UNCHRISTIAN COMMENTS,KUNG NAGTATANONG KA BAKIT DI PINOST YUNG COMMENT MO NA WALA NAMANG UNCHRISIAN WORDS E BAKA NAMAN YOUR COMMENT WILL TRIGER THE BLOGGERS BLOODPREASURE THAT WILL CAUSE THEM TO SIN.YUNG IBA KASI NAG POPOST NA LANG TO PROVOKE OTHERS TO SAY BAD COMMENTS.KAYA TAMA LANG NA SALAIN NI CD ANG MGA COMMENTS HINDI LANG BY WORDS BUT BY CONTENT.
soon to open for bloggers:

To Still discerning Anonymous,
One of the things that attracted me to this community is that it seemed "perfect", walang dirt, walang kahit anong allegation against it.
Now we see the name of CFC in gutters, we finally became aware of the imperfections.
We are all trying our best to be better christians. CFC leaders have been steadfast in their calling for many, many years. Now we see them fall(na disillusioned ka di ba? the way they handled this problem) but will our response to them is to abandon them? Do not be too hard on them. Yes, they are leaders and we expect them to be very christianlike in all their actions. But they are humans after all and they sin/have shortcomings too. Why not help them when they are down right now?
You have been in the community for 17 years, far longer than me kaya alam ko na blessed ka sa buhay mo dito sa community natin. Our community needs us right now more than ever. i encourage you to stay. sama-sama tayo sa hirap at ginhawa.
One of the reasons why I stayed in CFC(headed by IC) and not transferred to the other CFC(in spirit), ay ang lumulobo, milyong-milyong utang ng CFC. I cannot leave the community that is a blessing to me when they need me most. The other CFC "in spirit" is only CFC if it suits them. They do not want to share sa burden ng utang(refer to the email of Bro. Nonong, its in this blog somewhere..)
Pray hard to God during your discernment. He will lead you to where He Wills.
God bless!
Agree ako diyan. Mag-CLP uli tayo. I will volunteer to be Bro. Frank's facilitator.
Sama niyo na rin si Nonong Contreras!
Kailangan talagang ma-evangelize uli itong dalawang ito eh.
"Did any of you notice? They did not refer to us as CFC-GK. Hmmmm?" asked Anonymous.
Hmmmnnn, the change of tack is understandable. Think about this - FFL/Frank's statements consistently and increasingly specifically point fingers to the "IC" or "Council", laying the blame on the Council and the Council alone, not even the EA or the BOE, but the IC, the IC, the IC.
This convoluted piece of analysis reveals the only real issue for Frank/FFL. It is CFC headship and council leadership. FFL is really trying to point out here the results of the failure to achieve THAT which Frank wanted to happen, which was to be re-nominated for the election by the then 4-man council (despite his "refusal" to be so nominated. Didn't Gerry P said to one of the then remaining council members that they should have given him/FP the opportunity to decline?) and thus be re-elected by the Elders' Assembly.
In short, he should have been the CFC HEAD, specifically, the IC Executive IC Director.
It's really never been been about GK spirituality (remediable internally) vs. CFC charism from the start. Excuse lang iyon; in English, - rationalizing.
Sour graping really hones skills in analysis. You know where it leads -- paralysis.
pssst... anonymous
sa sector namin nag CLP lahat -- CFC, SFC, HOLD, SOLD. merong nasa module 3 na. yung iba module 1 and 2. at sa simbahan ang karamihan.. YFC mag youth camp na rin..

To Still discerning 17 yrs in CFC,
Last teaching nite ng sector namin. a leader (na sumakabilang bakod na) shared this reading from James 1:2-8 - (dahilan ng kanyang pagbalik)
Consider it all joy, my brothers, when you encounter various trials,
for you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
And let perseverance be perfect, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
But if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and he will be given it.
But he should ask in faith, not doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed about by the wind.
For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord, since he is a man of two minds, unstable in all his ways.
Peace of the risen Christ be with you!
Pareho kamin ki kokey, hindi na tumaas ang bp ko sa latest article on “Rude Awakening” kasi nabasa ko na dito sa blog ang mga sagot and evidences (like video, audio, emails, letters, testimonies) and wala ng bago sa issues, rehash na lahat.
To Anonymous who is still discerning up to this point, I say it’s okay because discernment experiences either takes instantly and quickly or may take longer, as long as 3 years depending on the circumstances you are in. And the good thing is that your effort is continuing and you joined this very informative blog. Please consider that GOD has a purpose for allowing you to be part of CFC. I pray that the Holy Spirit will bless you in your discernment journey.
God bless.
Coming Soon - Truth Series 5.1 from EFEFEL...

To 17 Years in CFC and still discerning:
I suggest you download and read this:

Do not dwell on the negative personal issues made against any personality because we cannot really know the real truth.
Logic and common sense lang ang kailangan mo to discern the truth.
Look at the contradictions of Bro. Frank and it won't be long, you will eventually come to a discernment in favor of CFC and against the FFL.
Unless you choose to be a blind follower, which we all hope you are not.
God bless!

Tnks.

Thank you for posting FAP's statements that are not available to everyone.I wonder if they're made available only to those who would take them hook line and sinker and would never even dream of making a comment? His statements used to raise my blood pressure too but not anymore. Now they only serve to convict me for sticking with CFC IC. At best, they serve to provide me a laughing matter at the end of a stressful day!
CD!
LAST NIGHT TITO TONY MELOTO WAS WITH US HERE IN DAVAO CITY CFC CENTER TALKING TO US ABOUT CFC AND GK ,BEING OUR NEW REGIONAL AREA DIRECTOR.
I JUST WANT TO AFFIRM THAT THE HOLY SPIRIT AND ITS FRUITS ARE REALLY WITH THE IC BEING OUR HEAD, THE ENTIRE CFC AS OUR BELOVED COMMUNITY AND MOST ESPECIALLY WITH TITO TONY.
WHY I SAY THIS?
1.)BECAUSE FOR THE ENTIRE 2 HOURS TITO TONY MELOTO WAS TALKING I HAVE'NT HEARD HIM ATTACKING FFL. INSTEAD, HE WANTS US TO PRAY FOR THEM.
2. HE WAS ASKED ABOUT A NEGATIVE ALLEGATION BY FFL, BUT HE DID NOT SPEAK ILL OF THEM.
SO BROTHERS AND SISTERS, I AGREE THAT ALL OF THESE SERIES OF TRUTHS BY FAP WILL ONLY INCREASE OUR FAITH AND DEDICATION WITH CFC.THIS WILL GIVE US MORE ENERGY AND ZEAL TO DEFEND CFC MORE.
WE WILL INCREASE AND FAP WILL DECREASE.
I AM STILL WAITING MORE OF FAP'S PRONOUNCEMENTS BECAUSE THIS WILL UNMASK ALL HIS AGENDA. IN THAT WAY, WE CAN PRAY MORE FOR HIM .
GOD BLESS MGA KAPATID!
Pakisabi Kay Brothers Frank & Lachie walang personalan.
CFC - For Frank & Lachie
TO ALL BLOGGERS,
Let us just pray for them na lang. The recent pronouncements of frank padilla has given me the final blow. That I am for CFC. Una kasi I 'd like to say that we are the same with them venerating and worshipping the same God. But now , I am seeing a gloomy days for FFL. They are showing a spirituality of destruction. Don't worry God is with us then who can destroy us. In Davao, we don't mind frank anymore. Instead, pinIpray namin siya na mag move on. IF HE WANTS TO MOVE ONE, THEN HE MUST NOT WISH TO DESTRUCT AND DESTROY ME, YOU AND THE ENTIRE CFC. But satan is a fallen angel, he may rise but he will always fail.
To my bros and sis in FFL. Tell frank not to do shameful things .It will not do good to him. It will just increase my conviction to the Lord and the entire IC.
TO FFL LEADERS, I KNOW SOME OF YOU KNOW ME. I am a sinner and still struglling to be a better christian. I am serving the KFC Davao City as the KFC Area PCC.
C.D. ,
BY THE WAY,LAST NIGHT SOMEBODY CALLED ME TELLING ME THAT HE WAS A BROTHER OF GARY REYES , OUR BATANG BAYANI NATIONAL COORDINATOR. HE TOLD ME , "KAPATID C JOEY REYES TO KAPATID NI GARY REYES" WHEN I ASKED HIM WHERE DID HE GET MY NUMBER ," ALAM MO CFC TAYO SO MADALI LANG MAKATAWAG SA KAPWA CFC", HE SAID. WHEN I CALLED TITO GARY THIS MORNING INFORMING ABOUT IT, HE TOLD ME NA WALA SIYANG KAPATID NA JOEY AT HIGIT SA LAHAT WALA SIYANG KAPATID NA NASA CFC.
YOU KNOW,MAYBE BECAUSE I AM VERY VOCAL FOR CFC. FFL SOMEHOW WANTS TO SEND A MESSAGE TO ME TO KEEP SIL...? GOSH.....
I am not afraid with them.Whoever superheroes they are because I know I am with the way, the truth and the life our LORD JESUS CHRIST.
UP TO NOW JOEY IS NOT ANSWERING MY TEXT KANINA, "SORRY, I THINK YOU WERE LYING."
To all CFC Brothers and Sisters,
If i may request that no matter how much pain the FFL are causing us, let us remain steadfast and not follow their character. I know that sometimes it is too difficult to hold on our feelings especially when we are hit directly with all of these things that are mostly untrue. But let us not fall into the trap of satan and let us not satisfy their wants - i think they want us to follow their characters, characters that does not emulate Jesus - The character of forgiving, loving and being compassionate.
I wonder though, if the bishops knows what FAP has been doing - continuing to cause us so much pain and stress. I wonder if they are equip with all documentation. I wonder if someone from Manila can only show our good bishops the real story. Let us continue to pray for a change of heart for Frank. We are very much hurting here in North America. Frank has been going around and so with his members telling all CFC members that He was terminated and that he seek for dialogue and the IC's never want one. That he was maligned and so forth...We all know that this is not true. It is just unfortunate that not all members know the real truth. So the tendency, is most of them go to the FFL side. Very sad, but what can we do? We do not want to speak ill of any FFL member especially FAP.
a very concerned member from North America
hi CD,
logic and common sense, rationale, reasoning and defending. sige, keep creating little (or big if you wish) devils within our community. sige, crank your craniums to produce signature hatreds. tapos saka mo sabihin God is enough. hintay ako ma-exhaust ang human capacity mo. hintay ako maging totoo ang sinasabi mo kapatid na isinasa-Diyos mo na talaga ang mga pangyayaring ito. hintay ako sa talagang ibig mong sabihin na let God and let go. no worry i heard your voice and i keep hearing your voice in my heart.
nakakatuwa namang isipin na mula ng umalis si tito frank sa cfc, nawala ang ang 'charism' natin...bitbit pala nya. pano pag umalis ulit sya sa ffl...bibitbitin ulit nya ang charism nya? di man lang tayo naambunan...sorry for the sarcasm, nakaka bother lang kasi when brothers and sisters who went with him eh yun ang dinadahilan"...iba na ang charism ng cfc, nawala na ang dating charism ng cfc..."
From what I heard, FFL is now managing former GK sites like the GK CFC International Village (Remarville).
The beneficiaries were asked to sign the petition paper that GK turns over the site to FFL.
I was told everyone signed the petition paper.
I’d like to know, is it true that failure to sign would mean ejection from the village?
Can anyone shed light on this?
QUESTIONS to CFC/SFC members who’ve been in CFC for at least 8 years, a time before GK:
1. Puwedeng paki-compare ang zeal and commitment ng CFC members noong about 8 years ago at sa ngayon?
2. Sa formations and teachings coming from leaders, mas okay ba noon o ngayon?
I’ve been in the community for more than 10 years and I see difference in our evangelization efforts and membership formations today, a lot better noon.
Salamat.
A rejoinder to Bro of CFC cluster 2 Chapter D on the issue on GP. I agree with Bro Raffy B during the Council’s meeting with PAHs that the issues raised by FP were already mutated and even if the issues are resolved, if the truth is not known there will still be problems which prompted Sis Gigi Maipid and Bro Joe Yam to speak out. Their revelations pointed to XYZ as the root of our crisis. But I just wonder and also wander why our leaders are not making statements on this and while I believe that the IC is keeping a real Christian stance on this sensitive issue so as not to put FP and GP in a very awkward position nevertheless something should be done. Maybe FP should be ask directly on why GP stooped so low that she had to exert influence on the withdrawal of TM’s nomination as Ramon Magsaysay award and why did GP and MD had a “pastoral” discussion with Bishop Gabby in Iloilo.
On GP’s rejection that she had nothing to do with her sister Sandra Sotto’s statement on Phil Daily Inquirer but common sense tells us that her (GP) statement doesn’t hold water. Why on earth would an outsider (Sandra Sotto) had to issue those PDI statement if GP did not pour out her sentiments to her sister regarding the by passing of FP as RM nominee.
I have been a follower of this blogspot since it was conceived almost two months ago but I have yet to see this issue on XYZ being clarified either by FFL or CFC. I believe this should be given emphasis instead of magnifying our sights on veering away syndrome, losing our charism, disobedience, etc. We have to step on the head of the serpent which tempted Eve to disobey God’s commandment. XYZ is the “mother of all disobedience, veering away, non submissive, etc.” Unless this is not addressed to, then the issues will be destined for eternity.
Thank you and God Bless.
Servant
PS: I would just like to suggest to all bloggers that each one should have a unique ID if you want to stay anonymous. It would be very chaotic if we use “anonymous” always. Like for example, when I attended an MCG, I just mention my code “EB-3C” to my fellow bro, then someone who sit beside me, introduced himself as ‘jiggs”. So you see bros and sis, it would be a nice acquaintance meeting if we have a unique bloggers code.
CD,
FYI, the term "GK mentality" has been around for a while. Joe Tale has used it several times in his talks and he is okay with it. He acknowleged that GK mentality is good and there is nothing wrong with it..
CD,
good job! keep it up!
Great Suggestion EB.
I guess I'm just plain... C.D. =)
Some interesting points were brought up above and I look forward to responses to them.
Have a great weekend!
To anonymous re: the "GK Mentality"
I wonder then if mentality in the context used by Joe Tale and Spirituality in the context used by the FFL are the same thing?
I think not, but then, I'm not the authority on that.
hello EB,
i agree with you on the anonymous thing. sana the bloggers can use an alias/handle para ma-identify. then kitakits tayo sa GK expo, seeing the faces behind the aliases.
[i can see some of our bloggers posting their real names and even their email addresses. thats nice also]
thanks, God bless. jiggs
Hi CD!
Guess what I saw on the Bulletin Board of the San Carlos Minor Seminary today - a full-color poster of Buddha's light International Association Philippines, inviting to watch for free "SIDDHATA, a Musical Journey to Enlightenment!" I just wonder if our good Bishops know about this. Imagine,an evangelistic poster from a non-Catholic religion right where future Catholic priests are being trained! Mormons in GK sites? Hmmmmm...AH EWAN!
i agree with you eb,matagal na ako nag popost dito and lately lang ako nag lagay ng call sign.this site is already part of the cfc history,on the right time it would be good na lahat tayo will show our real identity!and we will call each other as the DEFENDER!
ps.cd pano ba mag post ng pics dito?(pwede ba yun?)
daya niyo!! Nasa NJ ako.
BUt you can call me DOUBLE O Sleepless in NJ
hehehehhe
Dadaddadadadaaaaa (jamebond soundtrack ringing in my head)
CD could be Q... cuz he tries to give us a lot of FACTS.... oppsss somone might comment that CD facts are all made up.... let us do more investigating...
Daddaadadadaaaaa DUM DUMMMM!!!
Dear Anonymous of 17 years in CFC,
there was a blog comment: If they are not against us, they're with us?
there is also a saying: two heads are better than one. Of course, there is also a saying, more than one head is a monster.
question: If you go to FFL or if you remain in CFC, or if you leave CFC and FFL and go to El Shaddai, will you go to hell?
Pia and I were at the birthday party of Obet Sanches, my household head and our chapter head in Palanan (CFC, of course) together with many of chapter leaders and members. I saw the old CFC--we just enjoyed the fellowship night (actually until 1AM) and reminisce the good old days with the CFC oldies.
Our chaper i believe did not lose any member to FFL. And even if we will lose members to FFL, the CFC Palanan has a strong bond among organizations, that is---the Parish! In Palanan, there is peaceful co-existence and cooperation among organizations.Even during the first separation in 1993, CFC and Familia (the new family renewal arm of Ligaya) were conducting CLPs in harmony and cooperation. According to some members, some CFC spoke at the Familia CLP and also helped out in their music ministry.
Would you not want this to happen to CFC and FFL in your parish/area?
In case you are not decided, just serve in the parish. You can't go wrong.
Thanks there EB-3C for the follow-up on my query about GP. I'm tempted to say that I prefer to hear from CD but believe me ok na ok ang follow-up mo alright pa sa okey he-he
Oo nga pala just like to tell you nasa Saudi ako at ang Chapter namin ay support ng SFC - Female kung baga logistics kami (venue and transport).
CFC here is very active on all fronts - CF-YFC-KFC-HOLD-SOLD-GK!
Talking about identity... nakadisplay kaming mag-asawa sa post na ito.. pwede na ba iyan.. baka maligaw kayo dito sa Riyadh pasyal kayo sa MCG namin ha
I feel as if I'm witnessing the decline and fall of a once powerfully positive leader.
These emails containing endless slurs, dishonest representations of the IC and GK, and negative portrayals of what is happening in GK are getting ever less logical, holding ever less water.
It feels like recognition is growing over the role of personal pride in this whole affair...
"Frank Padilla continues to be the recognized leader of Couples for Christ and the keeper of the charism. In fact, he went to the Vatican to explain the crisis in the community."
Hmm...so once again Frank is going against the word of the Bishop Gabby:
"The original CFC, with Gawad Kalinga among its ministries, under the leadership of Bro. Joe Tale continues as a national and international private association of the faithful."
And, "In the light of this, the original CFC, with Gawad Kalinga as one of its ministries, retains its recognition as an international private association of the faithful, which was given by the CBCP in 1996."
And, "The group of Bro. Frank Padilla will form the Couples For Christ for Family and Life. In order to get official recognition from the Church, the NEW Couples for Christ for Family and Life should start as a diocesan association, then later can apply for recognition as a national association if it has branches in other dioceses and even later as an international association."
It's a mystery why Frank and FFL keep contradicting the Bishops when they are trying to assert that defiance of the Bishops is a major issue behind their actions...
Consistency is needed.
This comment is addressed to Nonong Contreras of FFL.....
Didn't you solicit funding for Tekton's activities from these pharmaceutical companies which are GK's partners? And didn't you receive money from these pharmaceutical companies to help finance Tekton's shindigs? So, what is your "principled" fuss all about?
Please don't use "non sequitur" again if you care to respond. And don't tell us you lament again because you are accusing others with unclean hands.
If it is true that Nonong Contraras solicited money from the pharmaceutical firms, this would be okay with FFL. Like FAP, Contraras has become a master of double speak and irreponsibility in his interviews and press releases. He and FAP could tell a lie without batting an eyelash and they do it so naturally that any person who listen to them for the first time could easily be hoodwinked and misled.
This revelation doesn't surprise me anymore. FFL leaders are exempt from accountability, transparency, responsibility, hypocrazy, idolatry, etc in fact they could state untruths and get away with them because lying is an accepted norm, set by their own leader, founder, prophet FAP....
I'm just wondering if Contraras is still an asset or liability insofar as the Ayala Group are concerned. By the way, what are the products produced by the companies in which Contraras is connected?
Let's unmask this guy.

Your zeal to unmask the truth is commendable.
To shed some light into this matter, Pfizer and Wyeth are not sponsors of Tekton Shindigs.
monette
Contreras has long retired from the Ayala group and Globe as well. He has his own HR company I think.
To Monette,
You better check facts first regarding these pharmaceutical companies which sponsored Tekton's Shindigs. Go back to 2005 - up files of Tekton - both solicitation letters and donations received.
Nonong Contreras solicited money from these pharmaceutical companies for those Shindigs in the name of "helping the poor". Check it out....follow the money....
