Press statements have been issued and lines in the sand have been drawn.

The quest for truth has become much, much more important.

I ask now:

Who is on the offensive, and who is on the defensive?

Saddening,

I am sure FP and FFL would now put their offensive full blast. Matakot lang sya pag sumambulat na yung sa DOH contract!

After twenty-six years in charge perhaps it's harder to resign and let others take charge than it first appears. No one who knows more than the spin really believes this is about GK.

The Council of Elders should take a "Vow of Poverty" just like some nuns (or priests). On second thought, vows don't matter to some, especially, pag kapal muks.

No clever combination of bad eggs will ever make a good omelet. It is so disconcerting that after 26 years of this community, we discover that our elders are exactly that...mga buguk!.

Where have all the donations went? Based on "Newsbreak" report/story, GK received 600M in 2006. To date, CFC-GK has built 1,200 houses? ("translated to 22,000 families"?) only. If my Math 101 serves me right, there is still a huge balance. Can the elders account for this?

Also, despite the tithes of most members CFC has reported a deficit of 14M to date from a 25M years back.

If this is true, where have all the money went?

Kapatid I think the right figures are 1,200 communities & 22,000 homes.

when a donor give a village, it will take more than 1 year to build houses because building houses rely only on volunteerism. So there is always more money compared to the actual houses built.

that's why this split will further delay the construction of houses, assuming those who are transferring to FFL do volunteer works in GK before.

and lastly, there's a good accountiing in GK.

..and 22,000 homes is equal to more than 1.1Billion pesos(with the changing prices of a GK house). There is a reported millions of pesos of money that came in, not as a liability, but the total amount of padugo CFC did for GK. for more questions do not hesitate to go the GK office and look for Mike Goco, he will gladly answer all ur queries.

We just made it to PRIMETIME NEWS Courtesy of TV Patrol. Since Ces Drilon carried the story, it will surely be featured tonight in BANDILA.

Nonong Contreras and TM were both interviewed with Nonong insinuating that contraceptives are now prevalent in the GK sites. He was also asking for an accounting of the funds that were donated to GK even going to the extent of looking for the houses.

On the part of TM he just reiterated that our partners continue to work with GK in building communities. Ces Drilon also mentioned that SGV has been commissioned to make the proper auditing of the funds.

It is sad that FFL people are now resorting to all these accusations in public. In the end it is not us who will suffer but the poor. There should have been a better way in handling this crisis.

The problem with Frank and one of his ilks, who was interviewed by Ces Drillon, is that they make generalization and do not pinpoint to specifics, i.e.,the GK sites who ARE into contraceptives. I have been a GK Sector Head and have NEVER encountered any of these things in our various sites. Also, those points mentioned in Frank’s CFC GK 3 paper are all generalizations and have not observed the same in my area of responsibility. If these things as well as those he mentioned in his CFC GK3 paper happened during his watch as CFC Executive Director and GK Chairman, these should have been addressed before he resigned. People who resign in any organization can do nothing after resigning so I do not buy his reason for resigning and later on went on complaining.

Now they raise the issue of accounting of GK funds. Again their strategy is to muddle the issue now that Lito T is uncovering the funding mess in the CFC Center. Frank and his minions should be more honest in all of their declarations TO BE MORE CREDIBLE.

funny, nonong contreras making comments about GK eh, wala naman yang alam sa GK. In fact, I have never seen him in a GK site ay isang beses para magpapicture. malabong kausap yan.

Leaking out to the press both in print and TV media the CFC situation is totally uncalled for a Christian brother. So disappointing! Transparency? Finally this is what we feared off, the press into the situation, it will be a feast for them but the death of our CFC community that we loved so much. You have allowed us (CFC - you were also a CFC before FFL)to be fried in our own oil.
