CFC & GK - Here We Go Again

The community is yet again embroiled in another dispute (although some would say that term is an understatement). This time the potential stakes are higher, the potential losses will be more deeply felt, and the feud potentially more bitter. Yes, even more than THAT.

Some faces are familar, some are new, but the enemy remains a constant. Guard your hearts and your minds my friends. Sometimes in our arrogance that our faith and prayers protect us well against the devil's plots and keep our intentions pure, we don't realize that it is in that arrogance that he finds his way in.


Everything I've said above is the extent of what I have to say on this. The emails/documents are below, I'll leave you all to discern for yourselves.


And so, with a heavy, heavy heart, here we go again:

Hello Bro,

My advice to everyone who will depart from the genuine CFC, please go on and don't bring the name cfc to your new organization in order not to confuse the lay & clergy and the whole in general. I hope Tito Tony Meloto is still not one and another power and fame hungry brother.

We survived the FFL Typhoon, we will survived this GK whimper,onward Ancop iwanan na natin yang mga disobedient to CFC Leadership. Let them learn odedience on their own let's see if GK will survive without CFC.

They wanted to run GK the way they wanted right,now they were let go,now they want to use CFC name,these people give Iloilo a bad name. They give Ateneo a bad name, and whats that University in Bacolod? Have they produced a President of the country,can they pass the requirements for employment in multi national companies like Procter and Gamble? As far as I know you need brains to run an NGO. GK is an honorable endeavor in itself why use CFC name? Hve faith GK will fly without CFC. JUst try to fly my freinds and brothers,spread your wings don't hide in the skirt of CFC. You are bayanis live out your name,go be heroes.

Ok... let me share this little known fact, this is the 2nd part of Frank Padilla's prophecy...

They can just see such sins such as… you know murder or abortion or rape or kidnapping but these are things that are of the flesh and a person of the flesh Paul is… Paul warns us… will not inherit the kingdom of God .

In contrast, the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness… and generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control… against such there is no law.

So with the Holy Spirit, we gain that new nature and we gain power to live out our life so that we can be more and more… rid of the things that are of the flesh.

And for the Spirit to transform our lives so that we’ll live now our Christianity according to the ways of the Lord…”

I agree with Mary.. The Council is still there now.. but can you really single out that the Council makes these "confusion". Nice comment Tita Zeny!

While I agree and disagree to the bloggers, It is unfortunate that we call the split as a typhoon. I believe we are all humans and individually, we are subject to err.. So with this, we can onsider the split in 2007 as blessing of two missions, and now, we are blessed with 3 missions.

I remember the prophecy, in 2013 all knees will bow down to Christ, isn't these "splits" one of the many ways to achieve 2013?

Hoping to drive a point, and really move forward in Christ!

A typhoon is indeed a blessing, after the typhoon the air is cleaner the environment in general is cleaner, the typhoon victims are stronger and use God's grace to move on,true bro nonoy it is a blessing. Now we don't have a 28 million or so debt after FFL, the hearts desire of GK to be independent is an answered prayer of Tony Meloto and Co. CFC is thankful,FFL is thankful,why is it that GK is not thankful of these blessings(typhoon) , only God can answer this question,as you have said those who do these things will not inherit the Kingdom of God,clearly this is the work of the enemy, and the enemy cannot rejoice because God creates perfect circles with crooked lines. I honor the Handmaids of the Lord,we CFC should learn from them they are the most challenged ministry but they are the fastest growing ministry,the HOLD must be doing something that we are not doing. My personal opinion is they are more committed to formation and prayer than our leaders in general. Most of the Handmaids are obedient, widows and orphans are very close to our Lord in the Bible. As CFC leaders all of these prophecies coming to reality should make us a more loving community.

For now let us mourn,its happening over again, the Bible says "blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted. "All will be well" a mystic declared as she/he walked in the midst of death of the bubonic plague in Europe where thousands died and were dying before his/her very eyes. We are far from the bubonic plague proportions, so we can vent (a strong word to use)our frustrations in this blog,thanks CD for providing us a mini version of the Mayon Volcanoe.

It is just an irony that CFC has defended GK in all its aspect when the CFC-IC and CFC-FFL "war" was still hot. Now, GK seems to have another agenda.

Now that GK is "out" of CFC, can it be possible now for the reunification of FFL and the IC?

Both CFC & GK are on their defining moments. I agree that both CFC & GK should now move forward. Just a little confusion, so its Ernie Maipid, Tony Meloto, Delfy Heraldez and Jun Dimarucot's words versus the IC and Zeny Jimenez's words? Just a thought, most of our formation tracks from CFC to Family Min and Social Min were made with the guidance and wisdom of Tony and Ernie and Frank - the Spirit that was instrumental in the formative and fruitful years of CFC - are we discounting them now? What if they tell the truthful facts?

I am a CFC SGT member who was recently removed from the SGT for unknown reason. But there's one incident that gave me idea why i was removed from the group I've learned to love and to the service I gave my life to - my sector head called me, asking if i can take the family min head of the sector and LEAVE MY ROLE AS A GK COORDINATOR. At that moment, what came to mind was the lives of those soon to be GK residents we are organizing in a community hit by typhoon Ondoy. So i told my sector head, I'll be willing to accept the FM head but I cannot leave my service to the poor. A week later, I was informed that I am no longer part of the SGT - not even given a household, not even a pastoral group.

Brothers and Sisters, it is Ernie Maipid's word versus Joe Yamamoto (who talked to the rector of UST that he should be appointed as the Executive Director of Kalinga Tomasino, instead of Tony Meloto because TM is not an alumni of UST). Should you want proof? I can email you Joe Yam's letter to the Rector - with the signature EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, GAWAD KALINGA. Kapangyarihan nga naman...

The site where my team serves is a site chosen by the CFC Chapter where we belong. We see ourself in no position to choose between ANCOP or GK. We can only choose to be obedient or not to the International Council, with no much talk after that, just work. Such outlook appears to be widespread in West B, with God's grace.

The bishop who gave mass during the MCG weekend said that true catholicism is INCLUSIVE... please let us not be rash in calling people names and making judgements.... as tita nina said in her sharing, when you find fault in someone look for 2 or 3 things that are good about them. When somebody does you wrong, go out of your way to do something proportionately right to balance out whats bad with good in this world. Let us seek to be more loving even to those who have wronged us.

Tony Meloto is a passionate leader, Frank Padilla is a leader with wisdom,Joe Tale is a humble leader,Joe Yam is the most improve leader,Ernie Maipid is a very spiritual person, Joey Arguelles is full of natural humor Let's all see the good in evry person. Obedience is difficult, even our bother Clergy admit this. All these are just a humble opinion of an obedient person. Why can't we all be obedient? It is very clear in the Bible that we should all respect all authority. All authority comes from God. An example of a disobedient being is Lucifer.

To all my brethren:

As i read all the comments, my tears fall in my eyes again as it does before during the split. As we defend our true CFC community as one of the people of God, we will not forget to pray more and more and lift the situation to Him because maybe our quality prayer time is now declining. I have one question. If ANCOP indeed is a work with the poor ministry of CFC, why then claim sites as CFC manages GK sites? There are many avenues in helping the poor. There are many poor people that need help from our community. Actually, millions of them. If there is indeed a genuine program for the poor in ANCOP, why compete with GK in the same sites that GK has been managing? Why? Does this mean that when we help, we need to compete? Why not just divide the work and collaborate. Hindi naman kailangang pagalingan dito. I need answers. Thank you and God bless!
